HYDRAULIC VALVE ACTUATION SYSTEM
Because there is only 1 intake and 1 exhaust cam in the patented Hydraulic Valve Actuation System, the valve actuation system losses in conventional engines are virtually eliminated with AspireCVD. A test of the patented Hydraulic Valve Actuation System on an engine valve in an existing engine block has been successfully analyzed and demonstrated by University of Texas Arlington.
PISTON CONTROL MECHANISM
The piston control mechanism is powered by a hydraulic lift and is centered around the power shaft. This allows the pistons to move up and down, rather than from a side angle. The piston side force is virtually eliminated in the CVD engine, especially at low displacement where the connecting rod angles are very low. This effect will result in a very significant reduction in piston losses.
